Maybe....

This might be my favorite picture

ever taken of Jake.

My sweet,

little,

green eyed boy

is a tough,

sweaty,

football player...

It's a great picture,

I love it.

Pop Warner has been a huge

commitment for us as a family.

Starting with 5 days a week practices

in early August,

in 110 degree heat to

6:45 a.m. start times for Saturday game check ins.

But the biggest sacrifice has come from Jake himself.

He has given up play dates, sleep, and free time

all for his love of the game.

He's not the star Quarterback.

He's not even a starter. (Did I mention his team is 0-8?)

But he absolutely loves being a part of this team, his teammates and his coaches.

He leaves every game happy.

And I have developed a love of football....

Halloween

It is our family tradition that the Fisher family arrives, the kids get all dressed up, we have a great dinner, and we are off and running. Which means Jack and Grace make it to about 5 houses before they are done!

Our "Girl Pirate" & Ironman

Grace & Jake (the picture says it all)

After a marathon of trick or treating (hardly) Jack & Grace got into their matching pajamas courtesy of Auntie Serra!

Trying to be scary skeletons...

Finally a smile....

As you may or may not know, little Miss Grace has been home sick with a pretty ugly case of strep throat for 4 days!! Lots of sleepless nights for mom & dad this week. She has felt just miserable.

Finally, finally today, a smile! Her bright beautiful smile and her rosy little complexion are back......

Just in time for Halloween!

Gracie's way

So this is what happens when you have two older brothers.......
(and when dad lets you get dressed)

I'm still not sure how I feel about this get up.....

Grace has somehow managed to piecemeal two of my least favorite (and long abandoned) Halloween costumes into this.

The only way you can tell its a little girl under the serial killing-super hero outfit are her little size 8 pink Pumas.... ~xo
